Away game ticket sales

Why aren't they balloted, it's the future according to Everton for the home games, what's the difference?

I don't disagree or deny that that happens. My response was to the comment about "half the tickets". As I've said multiple times previously, this is much more rife for home games, to the extent the club has a portal to allow people to do it, yet that isn't constantly argued about.

Even taking in that, we're talking about a small % of tickets, yet there are consistently calls for the club to change the "unfair" process.

Agreed. I guess with the resale for the home games it's an open and reletively transparent process that the club have control of. Anyone can buy a ticket through resale at face value or a ticket can be transferred to a member.
The away ticket system give an outward process of seeming to be a cartel which gets ever harder to break into as the years go on. You used to be able to chip away and climb the ladder getting tickets to the more difficult to attend games, but these days it's very hard to break in. I guess it depends which side your bread is buttered wheter you think its a good or bad situation like most things.
