Everton Ticketing Changes

Done properly, really properly without system cock-ups, and provided they use the short window during and after the ballot to weed out the nonsense applicants, I think this is fine and fair?

Some specific use cases will lose out as above, but others will gain as is always the way. You can pick 2 preferred areas AND specify if you want to be considered for other areas if your 2 choices don’t win. Specific seat picking? I think most applicants will be happy to win tickets and all seats in an “area” will be great.

What happens if a group of Plus members all enter the ballot for everyone in their group, then if more than one of the group “wins” some of them can just back out before payment? Will they track that an applicant has already been added to a different members application? Should do. My golf club’s app can stop me booking a tee time if I’m already on another group that day set up by a different member.
Think they're saying that they check for duplicates before the actual ballot.

Bit like buying a season ticket, you've no clue really when games will be.

People will do well to enter every ballot - they'll have no problem shifting a ticket if they can't make it.
True, but with a season ticket you have
a guaranteed seat in known location for every game. Some (most) will be shuffled around but entering a lottery where you might get a seat, in a part of the ground you don’t much like, (facing the sun, next to the away fans, up 63 steps) on a date and time where you may or may not be able to go.
I take your point about selling on, fair enough. Also, it’s not Everton’s fault or responsibility regarding Broadcast dates, but it can have a negative effect.

I was thinking this too. I think they got the capacity slightly wrong by around 5k right back at the start
I said in the stadium thread a few months ago it's too small. You have Birmingham paying for land to build a 60k stadium on, and Leeds are planning to increase Elland Road to over 60k. That's a team from League One last season and a yo-yo showing bigger ambition than us.

Roughly, how many tickets each home game are available after STHs and away allocation is accounted for?

I suppose the nature of the season we have will also affect the entry of ballots.

Stop complaining. Plenty of tickets available on Seat Unique for every league game, circa £200 +
EFC looking after the people at the People's Club.
'fraid so.

I've said loads of times - the demographic of this club is going to change rapidly.

Availability of tickets and the sheer physical effort of getting to and from the stadium will see a massive shake out of traditional fans.

Leeds aren't building a stadium from scratch and can phase it so there isn't a massive instant financial hit. This has been my issue all along here that our site does not lend itself to future expansion and we could easily find ourselves back down the ladder of stadium size/income generating capability.

I opted out of getting a membership. Felt it was unfair thay every friend or family member I wanted to go with would have to get one too. Personally think it should have been two tickets per membership. I.e the member gets one and you get to buy one for someone you're taking to the game. This new development seems a bit unfair again tbh as they're moving the goal posts.

I'll just ride it out and wait for the new stadium fuss to die down. Perhaps get a midweek cup game ticket this season on general sale or rely on the odd ticket from friends and family who can't go.

Sportsbreaks etc have an allocation for all home games why give non members preference when members have to go into a ballot. Disgusting!!!
I guess because sportbreak will be paying a premium? Same as the seat unique seats at BMD..£150 for a seat in the Northstand with £10 drink voucher. I guess that's at least double what a member will pay for qn equivalent seat in that area. If folk are willing to pay it to be gaurenteed a ticket (eg touristing etc) then fair play. I'll take my chance in the ballot.
