Out of the regular 3000 the further south you go the less of those 3000 will be using their own ticket to get in.
If you have a supporters coach with 50 seats on and 40 season ticket holders. Those 40 STH away tickets will be purchased by the supporters club whether that member is travelling or not. Those tickets will then only be sold with travel up until the coaches leave.
And Everton allow each affiliated supporters club to have a designated ticket officer who can reallocate tickets providing that the person receiving the ticket is also a member of that supporters club.
Over half of the teams in the Premier League have the same issue (Some like Brighton you have to provide ID to collect at the turnstile) it's great that we have the £30 ticket cap but if we were paying the likes of £50-60 to go to some of these places still it would be easier to get the tickets as there wouldn't be any appetite for credit hoarding. The way the PL is going with demanding digital tickets by 26/27 there was concern from the FSA that facial recognition could be used for match tickets in future.

Digital tickets have became a thing in the last 3-4 years. Most clubs don't distribute paper tickets for away games anymore. If they wanted to, they could make it so you can't transfer the ticket to another device maybe? At least that way the person on the ticket has to go.
In relation to building up credits, it can be done, it takes time and a bit of luck. I lost mine in 2017 and built back up again from zero. The only games I dont stand a chance on is Bournemouth and Brentford. I got lucky with Fulham last season and managed to get one despite a lower allocation and these are the ones that push you up to the next level.
There seems to be a lot more of a demand now than there's ever been. Under Moyes and Martinez, it wasn't so bad but I think the capped prices have helped. I never used to like paying £60 a ticket to see us get thrashed at Stamford Bridge or The Emirates.
Biggest myth going this. 90% of the people you see week in week out are the same faces.
Half of them aren't the actual buyers of ticket tho. They just get it off someone.

So 1500 people are selling on their away tickets every other week ? Not a chance.
As someone who goes to every away game, and has done for the last 25+ years, I know it's not just a guess.
To support this, have a look at how many people are asking for Leeds tickets. If everyone was buying and selling, there would be no demand, as they'd be freely available on a "secondary" market.
I've seen four coach companies asking for spares.
Exactly, lots asking, no supply. Yet your claiming that half the people sell them. So where are all the tickets that are being sold?
Supporters club distribution. Between friends and close networks. I would say most won't pass them on outside a trusted group.
I don't disagree or deny that that happens. My response was to the comment about "half the tickets". As I've said multiple times previously, this is much more rife for home games, to the extent the club has a portal to allow people to do it, yet that isn't constantly argued about.
Even taking in that, we're talking about a small % of tickets, yet there are consistently calls for the club to change the "unfair" process.
