Everton Ticketing Changes

This is nonsense. There was never an issue getting tickets before outside of the last few games. Travelling with flights and hotels and now having to ballot tickets 😔
Add in broadcasting release dates and uts becoming a nightmare for us trying to book a game. Think I've got lucky on a ticket for villa game, if id have to go thru the club way id be screwed

This is nonsense. There was never an issue getting tickets before outside of the last few games. Travelling with flights and hotels and now having to ballot tickets 😔

Same was always true with StubHub.

The ongoing perception was negative because of a very few small number of games, when a few wrong'us would try their luck would prompt "ITS A DISGRACE, £300 FOR A DERBY TICKET/LEGALISED TOUTING" etc

But the reality was, for most games you could get a ticket for £5-£20. I miss StubHub.

In short: They're moving to ballots. You have to pay £60+ per person, and per ticket each season for membership for the chance to be in the ballot. If you're lucky in the ballot, you'll be randomly assigned seats.

Following a ticketing review, and consultation with fan groups, Everton can confirm the introduction of a new home match-ticketing process for the 2025/26 season.

Coinciding with the Men’s Senior Team’s move to Hill Dickinson Stadium, the updated process has been developed to ensure a fairer and more inclusive opportunity for Members during priority purchase windows and to help the Club combat the increasing issue of ticket touts, bots and ticket misuse.

Match-By-Match Ticket Sales

The updated process, shaped following direct feedback from supporters, will see the previous first-come, first-served sales approach replaced by an initial ballot, which will be open to Forever Blue+ Members.

This will be in place for every Premier League home fixture and is designed to provide qualifying Members with an equal opportunity to apply for tickets, regardless of personal schedules or access to the internet.

This approach was successfully trialled ahead of the final home match of the 2024/25 season against Southampton, where the ballot system helped to deliver a smoother and more transparent sales experience, while also allowing the Club to identify and remove a significant number of suspicious or ineligible applications – strengthening protections against bots and touts.

  • To ensure consistency, the ballot for each home Premier League fixture will open at 10am on a Monday four weeks prior to the fixture date. From that time, all Forever Blue+ Members, including those Members requiring accessible seating, will be able to login to their Everton ticketing account and apply for a ticket(s).
  • Members will be able to submit group applications of up to six eligible supporters and will be asked to indicate two preferred price bands/seating areas they wish to be considered for in the ballot. Members will also have the option to declare if they wish to be considered for alternative price bands/seating areas should they be unsuccessful in the ballot for their two preferred options.
  • The ballot registration window will close at 4pm the following day (Tuesday).
  • All ballot entries will then be reviewed to remove any duplicate or ineligible submissions and to identify any suspicious patterns that may indicate touting or misuse.
  • The ballot will then be drawn, and successful supporters will be contacted on the Thursday afternoon with confirmation of their seat details and a notification that a payment has been processed.
  • Unsuccessful applicants will also receive a notification and will have the opportunity to purchase tickets via Resale should they become available. If the initial ballot allocation has sold out, the Resale window will open from 10am on the Friday, allowing Forever Blue+ and Forever Blue Members to access tickets listed by Season Ticket Members unable to attend the match.
  • Should the ballot not lead to a sell-out, a second sales window will instead open at 10am on the Friday for Forever Blue Members. Tickets in this sales window will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis to supporters purchasing online, over the phone (0151 556 1878) or in person. Forever Blue+ Members who did not apply during the ballot phase will also be eligible to buy during this window. Once the match has sold out, the Resale window will then open for Forever Blue+ and Forever Blue Members.
Further updates and reminders will be shared in advance of the on-sale process for each Premier League home match. On sale dates for all 2025/26 home fixtures can be found here.

Please be advised, the ballot for the first home fixture of 2025/26, against Brighton and Hove Albion (Sunday 24 August, KO 2pm BST), will open at 10am on Monday 28 July.

Ticket Resale

Forever Blue+ and Forever Blue Members will be able to access home match tickets listed for Resale by Season Ticket Members.

  • The Resale window for each home match will open either at 10am on the Friday of the relevant sales week in the event of a sell-out OR at the point thereafter that a match is declared a sell-out.
  • Should tickets be listed for resale by Season Ticket Members unable to attend the match, they will be made available to Forever Blue+ and Forever Blue Members at the face value ticket price for that fixture on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • If their ticket sells, Season Ticket Members will receive the pro rata cost of the match ticket as a credit on their Everton ticketing account.
Ticket Transfer

As part of their benefits package, Forever Blue+ and Forever Blue Members will also be able to receive a ticket transfer directly from a Season Ticket Member.

  • Should a Season Ticket Member be unable to attend a home fixture, they can transfer their ticket to any Forever Blue+ or Forever Blue Member listed in the Friends and Family network within their Everton ticketing account.
  • A digital ticket will then be emailed directly to that Member, giving them access to Hill Dickinson Stadium for the designated fixture only.

You could be entering a ballot for a ticket without knowing the date and KO time of the match with so many clubs in Europe and the broadcasters to satisfy.

Bit like buying a season ticket, you've no clue really when games will be.

People will do well to enter every ballot - they'll have no problem shifting a ticket if they can't make it.

Not sure how they can replicate for aways, given supporter clubs etc buy in bigger numbers.

How can a supporter club run, without having a clue if they'll have tickets?
The same way the foreign supporter clubs are going to and have been run for home games, by keeping them as a separate process.

Aways constantly have spares being offered by individuals, not supporter clubs, before they've even gone on sale. And you can't really blame the individual because once you've climbed the ladder there's very little reason to ever come back down, the spares always sell and you always get the credit.

True.

We saw how certain supporters groups monopolised the end of last season and I'd be concerned that introducing this, in consultation with those groups, will allow them to manipulate their share further.

Looks like a drive to increase £60 memberships.

If its now all about a ballot and not a queue, that takes away - as some have said already - the agency of fans to be able to determine the outcome of their own chances for a ticket. It's disempowering.

If the club are doing a lottery then that system should also recognise who's been successful in a previous ballot and prioritise those unsuccessful thus far in future ballots.

I imagine its a very significant % of allocation, so not sure the separate process would work.
