Haven’t they only attended like 2 games or something in the last couple of years?
I read somewhere that Dan attended one Roma game last season (Juve). His son attends more but that is because he loves the playboy lifestyle in Rome as he plays at being a Sports Executive. His involvement we can do without!

Making money eventually from the PL by stabilising Everton to sell on; Roma is their club they seek success from.

They've seen Everton as a very good bet to increase the value of with this state of the art stadium that. If they prove it can be sweated by football and non-football events - they'll make a killing on selling in the future.
What's the weather generally like in Villa di Negativa Narrativa Speculativa?

Yeah I have also heard that it's Friedkin Jr's love of the city of Rome that is the main reason he drags his dad out there in general. Don't blame him tbf.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and predict that we will see some big incomings the week before the Roma friendly so that Dan and the Texans can swan into Liverpool for the match like conquering Roman charioteers.

Alright, maybe less of the Roman stuff, but you get the drift. They'll be keen to watch Roma A versus Roma B among cheering hoardes.

Big Dan giving Roma the signal to finish us off

They'll need us to do better in the league before selling us, the better we do the more they'll get, they cant ignore us and expect a mid to lower league side to make the killing for them.. I'm OK with it if this is their plan investment in and improvement of the playing squad is needed either way, and selling us in a few years to a group richer than them will do too.

TFG are not buying the players.
The football operation have a budget and working within that.
I understand the need for long term planning, but the football operational side of things seems to have been put together a little too late. We are behind the 8 ball it seems in getting the players in we want. It could be we get one or two more additions in and recruit more in the January transfer window

The one game was reported quite widely by the Italian press. You’d hope they checked but with things being as they are 🤷🏻‍♂️

The rest is also quite widely reported in Italy and discussed by Roma fans on their equivalents of here. I was in Rome for a week last month and had a fair few football/TFG conversations as they saw my Everton logos. Friedkin Jr being a source of instability was a common theme when we discussed TFG. A couple I spoke to were as worried by TFG ultimately pivoting to us as Davek is of the reverse. The generally positive but with caveats Roma view of TFG has been discussed at length on here by Roma fans but having the son nowhere near us is a definite positive.

If we don't have some success then the TFG wont get back anywhere near the money they want.

Success for Everton increases the value of the club.

Cue him falling in love with life in and around Liverpool whenever he visits! 😆

It’s strange they haven’t given they do attend Roma games.

I don’t think I would really be asking this if we were sat here in a much healthier position squad wise with some intent to be a club who wins.

All about perception.
I think your second paragraph makes a lot of sense to a lot of Everton fans who are waiting for the new owners to make some worthwhile signings in readiness for the new season with time eating away to the end of the transfer window and despite some fans telling us everything will be okay I feel like some will asking for “Permission to Panic” unless these new quality players start arriving.

Started watching Smoke on Apple TV+ last night, and it jolted me to see this name out of the usual context in the opening credits.

Every new owner believes they can make the difference.

Stabilising Everton as money making mid-table / top half the table club would attract a buyer. There doesn't have to be success for that to happen.

We are what we are after decades of poor governance. TFG aren't going to plough lots of cash into this club to finally break out of that loop.
