ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Whoever they sign, whatever they win, they are forever a stain on the game and will always have the most shameful history that we will never have.

A soulless, tainted organisation forever, everything that we are not and deep down local reds know this, which is why little old Everton will forever burn their empty hearts and tiny brains out, regardless of any so called “glory” they happen upon - it’s tainted and unpure.

Just because a player is good, does not automatically mean that they fit in to the team and/or work well together. For me, this is a little bit like Chelsea's recent rampage. There were so many coming in that the manager had no clue as to how to use them and the team were all over over the place.

It really could go either way. Also, City are stronger than last season, Chelsea are looking like they have a settled squad now with a decent enough manager. You never know, Arsenal may get that striker.

However, wouldn't bother me if they won it again. Lost a lot of emotion in football recently and they really don't get under my skin as much as they used to. Maybe it would be different if I was still in Liverpool and surrounded by them but to be honest, if you don't bite then they have nothing. All they want is to feel like either everybody loves them (so they can have positive cult conversations) or hates them (so they can aggressively defend the cult and show their love for their dear leader), if you show an indifference they don't know what to do.

PSR Wut?

Doesn’t exist for the scabs mate, you know this.

Yanited, shitteh, liberpewl, chelski, arsenal and the yids are all at it.

Spurs are a well run club and had the lowest turnover to wages ratio while we was at 97%

We gambled on getting into Europe and failed massively.

Bit unfair to throw Spurs in with the likes of Chelsea.

Villa gambled and got into it yet they've had to sell and are up to their eyes with PSR limits.
Dont make the mistake its all about throwing the dice and gambling. Chelsea spent 800m in a PSR frame and just laughed at "the rules" as they entered the conference league lol.
The doors been closed. The only way in is to spend what you want and hire a top legal team to find those loopholes.
PSR isnt here to bring clubs in. Its here to keep them out.

We are one of the original five clubs who created the Premier League breakaway for greed.

We are the original scabs and if we still mattered we would have been one of the clubs pushing away for the European Super League.
Making excuses for scabs is something I didn’t think a blue would do, but you crack on chief.

The PL from the 90s was a vastly different beast to the proposed Euro super league, which I don’t think we would have endorsed, had we still mattered as you put it.

Whilst they seem to have the PSR room for all this spending I notice a few of the finance people on twitter are raising the point about whether they can meet the UEFA SCCR 70% rule, a few saying they are going to be very close to the threshold.

We did threathen back in 88 to create a Super League.

We was one of the original 5 clubs to sit down with Dyke to create the breakaway Premier League for greed and a new TV deal that the top clubs would share between themselves.

Thats the truth.

|To see how much these really spend, you only have to look at some the money they've wasted orcould have spent better in recent years. Here's £223 million worth of examples over the last 6 seasons.

24/25

Mamardashvili - £25 million
Chiesa - £10 million

23/24

Endo - £18 miilion

22/23

Nunez - £80 million

21/22

Thiago - £20 million

20/21

Minamino - £10 million

19/20

Keita - £60 million (84 league appearances over 5 seasons. Not all starts)

Well I was 11-14 back then, otherwise I might have opposed it. However, I don't recall us creating a closed shop, in complete secrecy, and then just announcing it was happening. And 5 clubs wasn't enough to push the PL through, but I suspect you know that. 22 clubs had to resign from the football league in order for it to happen.

If the Premier League damaged the domestic game, then what these proposed would have destroyed it as we know it. They've already been carving things up and using leverage since the days of G14 to ensure their dominance. They've got their cash cow already in the CL, but that's still not enough, they wanted it so they were in it every single year, regardless of whether they deserved it or not.

We started the greed chase.

The Premier League was created so the top clubs didn't have to share the TV deal with the other leagues.

We was part of the " Big Five " with Dyke who pushed it through.

Yes, I'm aware of that, but surely you can see the differences? They started their little cabal way back anyway; seeded draws and groups, more and more league placings resulting in CL footy. Last minute retrospective rule changes to keep one of them in the competition, arguably at our expense. It's a competition for the elite by the elite, as you can see with the other changes they've pushed through in the last couple of years, using the collapse of the Super League as yet more leverage. They've already got their cash cow.

Most people have been willing to accept this, though not all are happy about it - bit like the formation of the PL. Their actions caused mass outrage because it was the worst of the worst, because it was a closed shop they wanted.

Look, fwiw, I'd have the football league back in a heartbeat, but the game has moved on from that, but that doesn't mean it's fine to just set up a closed shop competition, in secret. Their actions were despicable and are not really comparable to ours, because we accepted no safety net.
