Just had a glance at the weather forecast for the Old Trafford test, starting on Wednesday. No dry days forecast, Thursday looking the best, be an interesting decision at the toss. Also had a look at the games played this season, some big totals : 458, 450, 589, 639, 374, 491, 496. Looks like it'll be hard work for the bowlers.

Tomorrow morning heralds the "there's rain about" 4th Test.
Do England go in with the same line up -Bashir +Dawson......or will there be changes ?

An OK day, but too many players got a start (5 between 26 and 39) and threw it away. Small ground, a good pitch and Gloucestershire a bowler down, really need to get 400 plus.

How many times did India play & miss? Plus the luck they had was unbelievable- we have to use the new ball well tomorrow!

Looks like Rishabh Pant isn't returning to the series then, poor guy - no surprises, it looked a bad injury. Had a similar one myself back in the day - Our cap brought in a Glamorgan 2nd team seamer to indoor nets one winter session to rough up the poor top order bats, and I caught one that swung in right on the top of the front foot on the full, snapping a metatarsal. Got me out of work for a month though 😁

Massive pressure on the rest of this Indian batting lineup now, effectively 2 wickets lost in one ball on a very flat pitch.
