New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

Call it a soft launch or whatever you want: I wouldn't call it a successful launch. The stock is hardly there to buy, no giveaways/promotions apart from a first in the door away shirt, no Everton player / personage on hand to mark the occasion, and - most worrying of all - the two levels are apparently cut off and therefore denied access to the disabled.

You'd think that most of that would have been spot on.

When have any club done this for a shop launch?

Some valid points mate, I think we needed a bit of fanfare and pomp and ceremony, it all seemed a bit flat, so hopefully they will address this on the official Stadium Opening? It defo needed a profile raising moment.

Tbh, the stock and cosmetic stuff can easily be remedied. The dislocation between floors is the concerning issue.

How have they managed to make it an ordeal to move between floors for able bodied people and apparently a no-go for disabled people trying to reach the First Floor?

I’m waiting for the inevitable running out of vowels when we sign a new player. Looks too spacious to me. Too much standing space compared to rails and items. Places like that always look so amateurish.

Perhaps all the above was intentional, with a) the first team preparing to travel to the USA the next day, and b) not wanting a rush/large numbers on site.

It’s a soft launch for a reason: the plaza still isn’t fully accessible, there’s still working going on in the vicinity, and the staff are still being trained.

The major test will be at the Roma game when the plaza is fully open, the shop will have much higher footfall AND it’s the added factor of game day.

People are wanting pomp and fanfare for the sake of it, whereas the club are sensibly opening up the stadium in stages, including the shop.

What a sensible and well thought out post. Please leave the forum immediately

Absolutely ridiculous that you have to go through what looks like an emergency exit set of stairs to get to the second floor of the shop.

Im sure it goes up more than one level too.

Why split the shop like that?

Absolutely no planning sense, its like they saw 2 floors were empty and decided to turn them into a shop when they werent properly connected.
It looks to me like everything that they are selling could fit on the first floor with a bit of planning it's currently very sparce looking.

Where did you hear £7 mate?

If that's true they're daft.

Spurs when first opened had pints for I think £3.70? (not sure if it is still maybe a spurs fan on here can confirm) making it the cheapest in the area and ensuring people came before and stayed after.
How much was a pint at Goodison last year? You can reasonably expect it to be more than that.
