New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

You'd have thought they'd have designed that in from the outset. Don't think it'd be an easy thing to do now.

Because it's just an open area (large one at that) and not fully fitted out with interior walls etc. it shouldn't be that hard to cut a hole in the floor, install and rearrange what is there around it. Hopefully they sort it before it becomes more problematic to do.

Not sure who posted this on here -you may have already seen- but this seemingly was a concept plan. Looks a tad better then the tent

Few other images- swipe right at the top of the page
I vaguely remember this, but didn't realise it was in that exact location. I agree, this would be a great congregation point for fans and concert goers etc (in summer at least!)

The club have deliberately chosen the open industrial look. That is both a cost and an aesthetic decision. Paint and other decorative elements will be used as ‘accents’ with the baseline look being concrete, metal and glass. Personally I prefer that to trying to dress up a concrete and steel shell to resemble something more homely or old. I get that this approach isn’t for everyone but it isn’t going to substantially change. More ‘accents’ will no doubt be added over time but the bones of the building will always

It's a soft launch, Dave. The most obvious thing in the world if you'd actually just open your eyes & ears for once..
Baz off toffee TV made a good point about the shop, put a cafe in it, people will meet up there, stay longer and buy more stuff, another missed opportunity but the club .

Would like them to eventually install an escalator to the second floor. Seems daft to make people climb that many steps - i know there is a lift, in reality you're not going to queue up to use that unless you have to.

I can see on a matchday how that extra capacity of using the stairwell might be a good thing, no harm in having something that joins the floors up in more usual way, especially on a non matchday.

The blue escalators look cool in the main entrance.

I'm also hoping they add more visuals and memorabilia in the new shop.

Interactive digital screens. If anyone went to the liver building to see the designs for the premium seating, maybe something like that would be a cool shopping experience.

I know it's still set up in the liver building so maybe they'll move it all to the new shop? Fingers crossed.

What thick plank decided to steal players' names without permission and also start construction without permission? 😄

It's the site with potentially the best view of the stadium.

How did anyone let them even contemplate putting a tent there and containers on the Nelson dock?

Could be buildings built that respect the areas architecture with windows and balcony's facing the stadium.

Hope the club can purchase the land, wouldn't mind seeing buildings being built with the same brickwork on the stadium.

I think it depends on what other lounges etc are open on non match days, I suspect the club might want the ability to go into a lounge to see the pitch or to look out on the mersey and try and get people's (especially tourists) to get some food and drink at the same time

Not 100% sure but on the east stand side that club view is a couple of levels higher and could be an option, also one of the lounges is on same level

Everton need to get their pricing structure right, £7 a pint has been mooted. Otherwise their plans of getting fans in early and staying late will fall flat.
Plenty of bars outside and 25 minute walk from town

Where did you hear £7 mate?

If that's true they're daft.

Spurs when first opened had pints for I think £3.70? (not sure if it is still maybe a spurs fan on here can confirm) making it the cheapest in the area and ensuring people came before and stayed after.

That's definitely my impression. On and off the field.

Have we had a single wow moment yet? Nope.

Kudos for retaining Branthwaite - but that's the definition of bare minimum. Now, perhaps they'll surprise us yet, but it will be a surprise now rather than something I thought would happen almost by default given their history elsewhere.

Perhaps they are waiting for the week of the Roma match to wow us and then arrive gloriously in the city. But it's hard not be a little underwhelmed now, with one week to August.
Probably know most of our fans will just mutter “ least there not moshiri or 777” like they used to say about kenwright not being Peter Johnson
