Maybe not the thread, but I was listening to a radio report of Joey Jones death and it said he died JUST 70 years old, maybe its just me, but 70 isnt really dying young, right?

3 years off retirement and possibly the new pensionable age if the latest review lands were we all know it’s going to.

It is nowadays mate.
My mum and dad are both in their late 70s and still as active as they ever where.
My dad still goes out to work most days, through choice, at 3am and the mother goes hiking every other weekend and is fit as a fiddle. Both got full faculties, apart from the Evertonian thing, and in good health.
No sign of either of them letting up either

I'm older than you and ain't planning on slowing down any time soon. As long as things keep working I'll keep going. I still run absolute rings round everyone in work and most are at least half my age. Fannies the lot of them.
