Night out

Alright lads and lasses,

I’ve not been back to Liverpool since my old man died. I’m wanting another night out there soon just for nostalgia more than anything. Me and the old man used to visit The Ranelagh, Coopers and The Central. Obviously they were the old bars and I’ll be visiting them but a few of my mates would like to go somewhere more lively after that.

We are in our 30’s and 40’s, so looking for clubs that aren’t full of youngsters but still play house music and the likes.

Suggestions welcome and appreciated.

Avoid the city center as it is full of Stag and Hen parties.

Best bet is around Hope Street area, still in town but away from the aforementioned madness.

Because the joke is that it’s a gay bar and that if you go there the gay people will try to do gay people stuff to you.

It’s a bit grim isn’t it?
It depends, some would enjoy it, some wouldnt.

I get the implication, but why would "normal" people care if they were in a gay bar, I feel like the only people that would be offended would be Brexit/Trump voters.

People who dont vote Brexit/Trump.

People who tolerate things that arent the same as them.

I call them normal people.

For the record, these people can be white, black, green, gay, bi, anything they want to be, just not knuckle dragging bellends.

I think the point is a place in town is the constant butt of the joke on here because it’s a gay bar so it’s easy to see why some wouldn’t find that funny and may even take offence.
