New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

Working for a building contractor who does lots of design and build projects,
I can tell you that the first thing to be 'value engineered' out of a building is always the ceilings. An easy win to save some money hence why more and more public buildings have exposed ceilings now.
Agree completely. To be honest, I suspect a touch of my disapproval is linked to the perception that Kenwright and Moshiri were behind all of this back in the day - and it nearly sank us.

I suppose I expected cut corners with those gentlemen (perhaps unfairly).

They've kept that quite hush hush I don't think they know what to do with it. I'd have thought some kind of museum but maybe not 🤷🏻‍♂️
They’re offering it as an event space so I suspect they won’t be putting a significant amount of static museum type stuff on display in there.

I hear the footballs you can see on display in the shop are the ‘Pro’ versions. They’re spherical, and can be filled with air - features intended to make the fan experience as close to the players’ own as possible. Retail price is £500.

Always mindful to give Evertonians a choice of balls, though, the fan replica balls (not displayed) are cuboid, filled with custard and lacking any means to drain it out. These retail for £14.99.
