Unconcerned

I’m not sure about concerned but I’m not surprised in the slightest. I remember saying a few weeks ago that I’d expect most of our business to be done in August, and had a few replies suggesting July 1st would open the PSR floodgates.

In the modern way of transfers generally breaking at least a few days before it actually being concluded, it doesn’t seem like anything is imminent either. While there is weeks to go in the window it would be pretty embarrassing if our bench is full of kids for the Leeds game. And that’s without taking into account any pre-season injuries.

As much as he may be part of the transfer decisions, Moyes doesn't seal the deals on his own. If there aren't at least a couple of extra bodies in before then, ( I believe we'll do a few right at end of the window too) I would be more than surprised if there were not at least noises about a resignation and potentially then a resignation and a caretaker in charge against Leeds.

I dont see this scenario happening though.

Moreso Jarrad than Barry will have had promises made to him.

Our track record in recent times has been to offer promise but ultimately disappointment that much is true, some might even say the new transfer team are not fulfilling their obligations right now and demonstrating similar traits.

We'll soon find out but I am of the opinion we will get some more business done prior to kickoff.

Alright Blues, let’s all take a deep breath, unclench and wring out those bed sheets. Yes, the transfer window’s been quieter than The Hot Wok on a Monday morning, but before we start panicking, let’s look at the silver linings.

First off, stability isn’t a bad thing. For once, we’re not flogging the Crown Jewels or panic-buying No 10’s. It’s like we’ve realised that calm continuity might just be… clever?

Secondly, remember Financial Fair Play? We’re finally taking it seriously, which might mean fewer flashy names but also fewer sleepless nights about points deductions.

And let’s not forget, David Moyes isn’t the type to make signings just to keep GoT happy. He wants graft, not glitter. If we’re not buying, it’s probably because he’s got faith in the squad—or at least, faith in grinding out results without splashing the cash.

So yes, it’s quiet. But sometimes, no news is good news. And hey, if we sneak in a smart signing or two in August, we’ll all pretend we were never worried anyway.
Up Texan Dans Toffees!

I wasn't concerned until I read this and thought "what squad"?

Its still a but paper thin innit?

That means the unconcerned people stay out of the concerned thread too?

Is anyone concerned we are unconcerned here? Or is it of the upmost concern to ask the question why we are not concerned enough about the Concerned thread in the Unconcernrd thread that people are concerned there is a thread in the first place statimg people are unconcerned? Or do we all just sit on a throne of lies?
