Concerned

I think sometimes folk are dissapointed and concerned because their expectations are on a different planet. Some folk saying we are going to have 7+ signings in one window......never realistically going to happen, and it will take us multiple windows to improve this squad if we are to bring in quality players.

How many did we sign last summer?

@JobForTheMoyes will be along shortly to tell you that all of those bums were bought by Sullivan but that Bowen and Kudus were bought by Moyes.
It’s simply a fact. Vlasic was a Moyes blunder as he failed to land Lingard. That said, West Ham haven’t lost much as they don’t need to pay the Russian team that owned him at the moment! But most of the bad/overpaid for players (Mavropanos, Fullkrug, Todibo, Ings) were not Moyes picks.

Kudus was actually spotted by Mark Noble and Moyes then supported the signing. Same with Alvarez. And the director of football vetoed a move for McTominay, which royally annoyed Moyes.

Moyes made some bad signings, but they were able to largely cut their losses to a reasonable level on most.

:coffee: lol

Didn’t Moyes buy Vlasic at West Ham for £20m+
Yeah, as a total panic buy after missing on Lingard. Which further backs up my point, if you rush into signings because you're worried about numbers then you end up with absolute turkeys. We can't afford anymore of those so patience is exactly what we need this summer. If we get this rebuild wrong then we set ourselves back years, AGAIN.

where are we going to magic all these players from who are 1 good enough 2 want to play for us .it will not happen overnight .we have about as much pull as sunderland atm so we have to trust davey moving forward . we will be comfortably midtable and it will take a few windows to build a good team

It’s frustrating to be hungry and have to wait for your meal to be set. That’s where we are as fans.

I am personally excited to have new players arrive and nervous to see their quality.

But I’m not the cook and I’m not paying the bill. So all I can do is wait.
