It obviously has to be a mixture to some degree, even Brighton have had Millner, Lallana, Welbeck types, but younger, less well known, well scouted players should be the majority of our business in the future. I'm just not sure we have the infrastructure to spot them currently. There's been so much churn in the off field staff and, despite some proclamations on this forum, I haven't seen anything from TFG at Roma to suggest that that is their model. We'll see, I guess.

Yeah I think TFG are more business types than sports business types, like you say there is nothing groundbreaking going on at Roma that they have put in so far although Gasperini could be interesting as he is quite different to what they had before.
He was very good over in Russia though when they signed him.

I'm sure TFG are going to be much, much more professional than our last two owners but some of the superlatives being thrown at them after relatively modest success at Roma and, as you say, pretty standard club management over in Italy seems overblown.
That being said, they're still relatively new owners at Roma and are very new owners here so it's completely reasonable to give them the benefit of the doubt and to be optimistic. Like you say, Gasperini is an exciting appointment at Roma and we're yet to see the totality of our business this summer so the jury is still out but some of the posters on here haranguing anyone with concerns about the shape of our squad currently are as delusional as the posters who are suggesting it's the end of the world. They're just two sides of the same coin.

Mate it's one of those Chinese whispers things.
I said it all the way back then, he never won any major award in Russia whatsoever, he won a player of the month award for Loko and that's it, he never even won the clubs player of the season award.
One site ran that he had then the rest of lazy journalists picked up and used it without trying to fact check.
Had an argument with mr financial itk expert ex mod on here about it though when he insisted he had.
