Concerned

People need to stop being miserable for miserable's sake. Moyes' cautious approach has always been the right one when it comes to transfers, how many bad signings has he ever made, especially in the last 10 years?

We're not going to fix every position in one window, but I am confident the players who we do get will prove to be good ones. If it means no more absolute crabs like Maupay, Sandro, Vlasic, Tosun, Delph, Harrison (the list is endless) then I'm happy to wait a few weeks.

the previous owner, moshiri spunked ridiculous sums of money on bog average players and paid them ludicrious wages

do you want our new owners to do that? because if you do, they could probably sign 8 schneiderlins and bolasies by next week

it takes time to find the right players you want to bring in and not ruin the clubs wage structure and ensure that the club can remain PSR compliant

the club is not going to see the returns that the increased revenue of the new stadium will bring till next season

they have to be very careful on who they sign, how much they sign for and how much to pay them

i'd rather they take their time and find the right players than rush to buy a bunch of turd burglars
To be fair Turd Burglar looked really good when playing in the Bundesliga. It was Everton that ruined him.

Lot of [Poor language removed] up for grabs at the moment, wheat from chaff is the way forward,we have form for buying duck eggs, time to change policy on recruitment. Get it right now and next year hopefully have quality players knocking on our door. I'm not fretting away on hot summer nights over it,Moyes is nobody's fool.

I’m really quite relaxed about how we are, that could be that I’m sat near the pool in Majorca! 🤪

All this “short of numbers” nonsense can do one, I would have sooner hoofed Keane and go short. Numbers mean nothing if your back up options are dogmuck.

Let’s see where we are at the end of the window shall we.

If a few more haven’t came in, especially at rw, cm and potentially rb, then we should get the pitchforks warmed up.

Plenty of time left for pissy kecks and wet bedsheets lids and lidettes.

what is your definition of quickly and efficiently

everyone knew we had to wait until 1st July 2025 before we could purchase anyone due to the PSR period

its been 3 weeks since we could sign players, we have bought 2 players already and almost signed Tete, signed Branthwaite to a new long term contract and secured new deals for Coleman, Gueye and Keane.

what would you have expected by now?

So we had to wait until July to start making moves? I'm not sure on that

I would have expected us to go into the American tour in better shape with at least a right back, back up left back and another centre mid so we at least have better numbers out there.

I look at that squad of players and think we have eleven players who are good enough. Tim, Chermiti and Armstrong should be on loan, Keane isnt good enough and Coleman can't play more than 20 minutes.

the squad depth is worrying but i am hopeful that by 1st September 2025 we will be much stronger

I am disappointed with the the progress so far. It is good we have nailed some very important things down but I expected better after three relegation battles on the trot especially now we are well into pre season and just about to go to the states. I do still think we will get a few players in though as there is plenty of time left in the window and it couldn't be any more obvious we need more quality and depth in many areas. Hopefully there will be an influx from now till the end of the window.

Players will also be gradually introduced to the team. Don't think Moyes was ever likely to start the season with 5 new signings in the team.

You don't think we're going to make another 4 signings before the end of the window? You should be hugely concerned if that's the case, we'd have to be extremely lucky with injuries and suspensions to get through the season with that squad.
I meant first team signings. Not a back up, back up keeper and loans into perm. IMO we have made 1 perm signing - i don't think we will make 6 more this window. If we do they won't be 6 quality signings.

I have to admit that things are a lot slower than I imagined... i kinda expected a statement signing or something to happen that raises eyebrows in the football world but... It seems that, stadium aside, getting players to Everton is not am easy task right now.

There are so many variables to getting a player, so for now, am staying patient and hoping we get 2 or 3 top quality players in before season starts.

I'm not sure that many people did think we were going to make 7 permanent signings according to the exact criteria you choose you know.

That 'if' at the start of your last sentence is the key though, and it's a bit weird that people seem to be just taking it as read that that's how it will work, despite most of the evidence suggesting the opposite.
