Bearsley was incredible. Remember, Children, he came in at the tail end of our all-time great side as we hit the buffers of decline. We knew great players when we saw them back then as we had so many so recently - but he was different class. Right up there. I mean, this wasn't a surprise. He was a key player in the greatest Liverpool team that competed with ours. What was a surprise was that he would cross the Park and, more, still be as great as ever. A brilliant, technical player. His history - and subsequent controversy - has impacted his rep here, but he definitely makes an all-time Everton squad in my book.
