Just bought the TV coverage for the first two friendlies and was surprised to see the invoice be from Everton Stadium Development Ltd, rather than Everton Football Club Co Ltd.
Seems a strange entity for that type of revenue stream to go to, but no doubt there’s some accounting reason for it.

Liverpool got a big commercial boost from the efforts of Beeston at Fenway Sports Group and also took a big step forward on data/analytics. If Beeston can do the same for us and AS Roma in his new role for TFG at Pursuit Sports then everyone will be happy.*

* apart from those who will micro scrutinise to seek any evidence no matter how dubious that we are being manipulated to the benefit of AS Roma.

Not unexpected but disappointing, still. See #84 on the list.

Fantastic reporting from a teenager who has scooped all of the big media in the US.

Oh no comrades. Our billionaire owners aren’t the dyed in the wool, Corbyn supporting, Knee Cap loving, Bob Vylan bopping socialists that we thought they were. Get them out! Why can’t we have nice owners like Newcastle and Man City?

Friedkin listed as ‘Owner of EPL club Everton’, despite only owned us 5mins, wouldn’t have owned us at the time the donation was made, and is a billionaire from a multitude other business ventures, predominantly opened from the US.
Everton that.

Just to inject a bit of positivity I had a chat yesterday with a guy who specialises in concert sound management at arenas and Stadia across UK and Europe (we are both supporting a charity in very different ways).

His company (and others) where asked for input during the build of BMD into the specifications for sound mixing and PAs at BMD and things to create/avoid in overall sound dynamics in the ‘bowl’. They have just been given the final installed specifications and results of the sound dynamic testing as we start to put BMD out there as a venue. Their initial impression is that whilst it does not have absolutely everything they asked for they still think it has one of the best inbuilt sound infrastructures for its scale and provides a solid base for all of their/others specialist equipment to optimise venue experience. Much better than Anfield as he was keen to point out (he is a City fan).

I am no engineer so lots of his technical explanations about front of house, side/stage mixing, subwoofers, PA integration and digital amplification flew over my head but his bottom line was that it is a potential competitive advantage if marketed well directly to artist management and promoters. He grumbled that the sound and lighting specialists rarely get a say in venue choice but joked that they do bend the ear of promoters and acts about where is good/bad whenever they can.
