Loved the violin version on the last day at Goodison, unfortunately, not very rousing to get the crowd up before a game.
Would love us to blow the dust off every now and then though, maybe use it on the days we commemorate the passing of blues who have passed away, or ex players?

I wrote to the violinist (Claire) after the Southampton game to thank her & tell her how emotional it was etc, had a lovely reply back saying she would never forget it.
I was made up to get a reply.

It's an old Liverpool folk song about a Liverpool seafarer, 'Johnny Todd'. It will be even more relevant to us in our new home at the docks. It sounds best, in my opinion, when played on the tin whistle.

I may be in the minority, but I wouldn't mind a fresh version of Z-Cars with a modern arrangement and modern recording quality.

Sacrilegious, I know, but I find the current version a bit.... tinny. Beef up those drums, I say.

I think we should get Rammstein to record it

Could live with that. Can't understand anyone wanting to ditch Z-cars, but a more modern version moving into the new stadium would probably make some impact.

Hahaha, honestly I'm completely fine with it as it is. Love the Z-cars theme. Will forever give me goosebumps hearing it.

Awful.

I don't know how long this version was used for when the teams came out (I was a bit too young to go to the game back then) but here's a video of an FA cup tie against Walsall in 1972 with this version playing in the background.




Somebody has done this version of it as well, might have to put my tin hat on here but I actually like this!
