Cycling thread

What kind of riding are you thinking of doing? Bikes seem to have become extremely expensive in recent years, so whatever you go for, you might do well in the 2nd hand market.
In NYC- Queens. Probably mostly trips to parks or around the city-- maybe to Jones Beach from LIC or up north to Westchester.

I feel flattened over the the events of the last 2 days of this race.

The Armstrong vibes are coming thick and fast. More than ever I dont believe this feller Pogacar. Not after this season. No one can enter and win as many races he has and recover to fly up these Col's like he's a on a Goddam Harley Davidson, to quote D1ck Pound.
Who's the team doctor and who's his personal* doctor.

Mauro Gianetti

A professional doper and part time cyclist that put himself in hospital on life support because he'd had an oxygen carrying emulsion washed through his veins and he'd became deathly unwell. Groupama-FDJ.

Anyone here ride? Thinking of getting a Road bike or Gravel bike. Tested out a Specialized Allez two days ago
It's been ages since I rode so a lot of the new features like disc brakes and drop bars were new to me. Any advice on here for me?
Depending on your age and the roads you ride on i would go with a gravel bike the geometry is much easier on the body and the gearing is easier on the knees and legs. I have always ridden road bikes but converted to a gravel bike about 4 years ago and rarely ride my road bike these days. I am 63 so if you're younger you may still enjoy the road bike.

Ha ha.

So you don't believe somebody who's been exceptional all the way through his career...

But you believe your favourite vingo... Who's a fishmonger by trade and did nothing as a junior?

Pog is simply a generational freak. The greatest cyclist I've ever seen.

He's nothing like Armstrong. Such a lazy comparison

I dont rule any top rider out.

You can kid yourself about 'generational talent' all you want, but his sports director is a known doper and Pogacar has been warned off the carbon monoxide rebreathing training they adopted to boost red blood count.

If it looks too good to be true, it usually is.
