2024/25 Youssef Chermiti

He was dismissive, and he wasn’t psyching himself up as he had finished playing.

I’m just saying what I saw - i felt a bit sorry for the young kids. Of course there could have been a number of reasons, he may have been desperate for a poo, or needed treatment.
Psych up,or debriefing himself. All player are different,he's at a crossroads.

To me the is a player in there but he just looks to lightweight - easily knocked of the ball - Dwight MacNeil played as if he was still on his sunbed - TBH it was only when Beto came on & the kids we looked a faster team - the youngster on the right looked brilliant was it Clarke ?

He had everything in his locker - OK it was Accrington Stanley, but other first team players were playing too ....

Chermitti - neds a few more friendlies to judge him - but my opinion is he is a bit of a lightweight .....

…Chermiti is 6ft 3in and powerfully built, he shouldn’t be a ‘lightweight’. Maybe it’s more about him lacking application and not being combatitive, certainly in comparison to Beto.

I know @Zatara thinks he could be the most skilfull central striker the club has ever had but I’ve no idea where he pulled that gem from.

Was that another statement of him being lightweight- to me he looked promising before his injury?

…no, I wouldn’t describe him as lightweight because he’s got good physicality but maybe he just isn’t competitive.

I’m of a view that he’s shown very little in his time here so I’m yet to be convinced in him. We should know more this season.

I think he will work better in a two at this point. As Eggs said, I question his application, but he has the tools. All the potential to prove everyone wrong. He can't come into games sluggish though. There were times where he showed great skill and solid ability and other times he looked like he got off a 3 day binge. Some players just don't lock in some days and it shows. He has to prove he can play on a consistent basis.
