2024/25 Youssef Chermiti

When he was walking to the changies last night a young fan ran down to the front to get his shirt signed and chermiti told him to do one, then blanked a few other kids

Contrast this to beto who spent the first 5 minute of the actual match signing autographs, taking selfies and chatting to the kids
One player unsure of his future and probably very nervous. The other virtually guaranteed to start the first game of the season. Highly doubt the actually said "do one"

Thought he led the line well in the first half, faded in the second, but if one of two of those chances he had went in, the story would have been a lot different. Thought the save their goalkeeper made off Chermiti's header was superb. Should have done better with the volley he had earlier, it was too close to the keeper, didn't connect properly, but did well to make that shot in the first place. My view anyway, he needs a goal to go in.

Was only 12 months ago when he was looking sharp in friendlies and there were a few voices demanding he start the season, prior to his unfortunate injury. For me, we’ve not seen enough of him to make a justified decision around his talent, but I think be needs a loan in England and get a consistent run of games. There may be something there, but time is running out to showcase it to us.

Needs plenty of minutes over the next 6 months, just the risk you always take with a loan to the Championship is that the manager there quickly loses interest and discards him, making the whole exercise pointless. I'd see if a club around Europe fancies taking him?

Shows how much time can change. Last season we had Dyche who criminally underused Beto who we all thought was complete naff, DCL who the club wanted to back to the hilt despite obviously not wanting to be here and Chermiti. This season we have got rid of DCL, we have Moyes and Beto who is looking much more like a PL striker and just signed a big lad from Villareal for big money. Best thing for Chermiti and the club is for him to go out on loan to try and start regularly and for us to sign an experience lad on a free for a year or two. If the wages were fine I genuinely wouldn't mind someone like Vardy to come in and be a 3rd option for a year.

If you or someone reliable saw this then unacceptable behaviour.

We don't need this attitude at the Club. When we were successful, and I am old enough to remember, the players never forgot the fans.

Personally think he should stay, think he will get a chance with our current 3 strikers. Don't see him in training, so up to Moyes in the end. Wouldn't mind a loan either. He has a nice touch but perhaps needs to improve his finishing

Hence why I didn’t put it in quotation marks
Obviously you didn't but your post suggested he was dismissive. He's a young player who knows every minute on the pitch could shape his future career,he was most likely trying to psych himself up to perform. So doubt signing autographs was high on his list of things to do.

He was dismissive, and he wasn’t psyching himself up as he had finished playing.

I’m just saying what I saw - i felt a bit sorry for the young kids. Of course there could have been a number of reasons, he may have been desperate for a poo, or needed treatment.
