Honestly if he is the best available and we still need to fill that spot then so be it. It's not exactly NSNO, but he knows the team, most of the other players and league and if the team is better coached and has a few better players he might perform better too.

Having said that, I hope we're looking at a better option.

As a squad filler and used (hopefully sparingly) in rotation I think he makes sense, and actually playing him on the left might see a more productive output. The potential wage is a bit of a worry with this deal though.

can’t really argue with that, just always hoped he would replicate that half decent season he had at Leeds a few years ago. Wishful thinking I suppose.
