Did they sell Cornish pasties at half time ?….scored a few goals on the old pitch there before they built houses on it, including 5 in one English Schools Trophy game![]()
In my youth i went on holidays to Cornwall and Devon with the family. The long lasting memory i have is that pasties down there were way better than anything ya can get up here. Forget supermarkets / Greggs / Sayers etc. Is there an authentic pasty place in this city that I don't know of ? Recommendations ?
It really depends where you get them.I remember going to cornwall as a child in the 80s and thinking they were boss, then having one as an adult and realising they are actually the definition of bang average
Never touched one since
Luckily I don't live too far away. They're always piping hot as they turn them over so quickly so 20 minutes home or to a beach gives them just enough time to cool down.Gear Farm don't deliver, sadly. They are the best, I agree.
You'll get the most pasty for your money(by some way) from Prima Bakery via The Cornish Hamper Store. They're not as good as Ann's, but they're decent enough.
Taylor's Farm shop in Lathom sell the best pies around in my opinion. Minty lamb being the fav.Sorry i forgot to mention the city in question. I'm in Liverpool. Penny Lane area.

I live in Mawnan Smith so not far away. Falmouth is a fantastic town for pubs/eateries.You lucky, lucky git.
Not only because they're the best pasties, but that bit of Cornwall is one of my absolute favourites. I'm down there for work next week, gonna visit my friends who live in Penryn.
