Gordon co - wrote the Golden Vision along with actor Neville Smith- I wrote him a letter praising the play and also asked him if there was any chance of him getting me a ticket for the 1968 cup final v WBA, he wrote me a letter back telling me if sent him a letter with a cheque or a postal,order for £2- 10 shilling he would send me the ticket, my mates told me it was a scam but nothing ventured nothing gained so I sent him the postal order and a few days later I received the ticket- I think it came initially from Man. City’s batch of tickets and Gordon was the newscaster for Granada TV which was based in Manchester.

…never knew that one. I have a vague recollection that he and Farouk Engineer lived in Erskine St for a short time in 1960s (the current site of small industrial estate near the old Royal Hospital).
