Think I'm just a little nervous of McNeil starting the season on the right tbhI mean, when I get into work I don't hit the ground running. I have a cuppa, a gab etc. Takes us a little time to warm up.
Hope he takes them all season (well the one we usually get) puts his foot through the ball. Even if the keeper guesses right it'll still probably count.Ndiaye took one last season that trickled in luckily.Top bin, brilliant pen that
If you nutmeg lower division players and generally take the piss out of them they tend to hoof, wise opinion taken by both of them.Thought the young lads did well. Beto up and running which is good and centre halves were sound. Heath did more in his cameo than Alcaraz and McNeil did all game between them.
Pretty sure 99% of the criticism of a preseason friendly against a lowly opponent was done with tongues firmly in cheek, very few people are genuinely arsed about last night's result. Some people on here are too thick to realise that though so heads fall off. Can't be bothered reading through all this thread but I'm going to take a guess that people are deciding which of our players are a success and who is a waste of time based on the first preseason game, as usual.
Definitely a completely normal thing to do
Start of the season is a while away yet, and this was the first pre season game.Think I'm just a little nervous of McNeil starting the season on the right tbh![]()
Probably the difference between somebody who knows he has his feet under the table and one who might be shown the doorPatterson was fine. McNeil though, neat & tidy as he was at times, was practically playing at walking pace throughout..
Now I'd potentially put that down to the fact that he knew he'd be playing the full 90 minutes so deliberately paced himself.. but then Patterson played the 90 as well and he was still busting a gut by the end![]()
I want N-Jai to take them. He was flawless with them last season. One penalty against Accrington Stanley shouldn't have people thinking Beto is now our best penalty taker.Hope he takes them all season (well the one we usually get) puts his foot through the ball. In Dwight's case, that's one foot under the tableProbably the difference between somebody who knows he has his feet under the table and one who might be shown the door
Aye right enough. Hopefully they sort it soon regardless mateStart of the season is a while away yet, and this was the first pre season game.
Keeper doesn't commit himself and this one is embarrassing.I want N-Jai to take them. He was flawless with them last season. One penalty against Accrington Stanley shouldn't have people thinking Beto is now our best penalty taker.
