I think that’s a way off.Unfortunately I could see printed programmes becoming a thing of the past.
If they can switch from printed match tickets to digital only, they can easily switch to digital only programmes.![]()
Agreed. My son gets one every game, so that's £4 from me at least nineteen times a season, with more for cup games - £76 (at a minimum)!I think that’s a way off.
Programmes are money spinners for clubs, whereas physical tickets are a cost.
No one is going to pay a fiver plus for a digital programme. If clubs want to keep making money from them - which of course they do - then they’ll keep printing them.
They don’t do every PL club. They did Everton, Liverpool, Chelsea, Tottenham, Chelsea, Man United & Man CityThey do every prem club ? lost the contract maybe ?

There's many other people who do it, so while there's the cost of producing and printing, they will still be making a nice profit from it.

I guess my main point was that they are net profitable as long as the demand is there.Hopefully it is a way off.
I'm not sure you're right about programmes being such a money-spinner for clubs though.
I just did a quick Google search and found this article from 2022.
