New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

Apparently a soft opening last week already
Can’t have been. The interior fit out is weeks behind, hence why the first few games are to be away fixtures.
Wut?

Am dreading this.
My debut on the Kirkby line due to the car parking ban. It’s casting a big shadow over what should be an exciting occasion.

Well done, Steve, you kopite muppet.
There's buses from Bootle strand if thats any good mate. Park in the strand then get the bus. Not ideal I know but it's cheap to park for now.
Avoid going into the strand itself though, it's like Zombies dawn of the dead.
The actual walk is about 45 minutes.

Cheers mate. The half hour drive to Kirkby is not bad traffic-wise and I dont fancy driving all the way to Bootle through all the traffic. Appreciate the heads-up, though.

Just hope the return trip is not too horrendous from Sandhills.

For the Brighton game I'll likely be heading out nice and early to catch the train into town, meet up with my BIL, and just walk to the stadium from there. Afterwards, will likely be a case of sticking around for a little bit to allow the initial crowds leaving to die down then head back into town, grab some tea, and head back to Lime Street later on. Basically I'm planning to make an entire day out of it.

From the city centre, it's an approximate two miles (40 minute) walk to the new ground (less than the equivalent distance to Goodison).

I appreciate that some supporters have difficulties with mobility but the vast majority are able bodied and a two mile walk shouldn't present too much of a challenge.

I blame kids getting dropped off by car at the school gates for most of the moans on here - have you never heard of shanks pony?

Keith Wyness (yes I know) made the suggestion that at least part of the sponsorship would be offset by legal fees in lieu.

That would assume that the club will engage Hill Dickinson for legal services to at least some degree.

It isn't the most ridiculous thought.
A legal firm representing a client in, err, legal things, when their firms reputation is intrinsically linked to ours given their name is plastered all over our stadium? Doesn’t seem the sort of thing that law firms outside the Cayman islands would do or the Law Society would allow. Obv it’s not going to be murder trials, it will be more contracts, commercial or property guidance. We could fill the south stand with serious looking HD staff and meet our next independent commission on the penalty spot.

What on earth is Wyness doing being the sole source of scripted nonsense for that “journalist”?? It’s embarrassing.

We will be the fittest supporters in the land by next May,
