I used to flog them in the local boozers.Remember waiting for the pink Football Echo to be delivered on a Saturday night, it was a dash to the front door to see who could look at the write up first.

Sally JamesI maintain the programme was for hungover adults rather than kids. Certainly was in our house anyway!
Brilliant. She was quite posh like a head girl-type but she was game all right.Sally James![]()
You could have folded it over Sue & just shown us the top bit.It was amazing, usually ready by 6 0 clock, sadly the Internet and ceefax finished them off. I still have last ever copy of our Argus

Oh lol, sorry, certainly should haveYou could have folded it over Sue & just shown us the top bit.
The Brunswick Under-18s team I played for in the 1967/68 season trained at Bootle Stadium every Wednesday night. 9 laps of the track (1/3 of a mile each lap), then half-an-hour circuit training, then finally ball work. I played a full game of rugby for the school on Saturday morning, then a full game for Brunswick on Saturday afternoon in the LBA League. Saturday night, I was shattered.
Sally James was never so happy. Tarrant loved it but Gorman was a prick.Yes i do remember that and feeling rather proud![]()
I remember the Argus as being pink (in the 70's)? Then in the week, drivers who worked with my dad would bring him a copy of the Echo.It was amazing, usually ready by 6 0 clock, sadly the Internet and ceefax finished them off. I still have last ever copy of our Argus
