2024/25 Nathan Patterson

There’s nothing for me to be wrong about mate if you read it through. I’m not saying he will do well, I’m just saying that any judgement should be made when he’s fit, and in a well organised team. Time will tell.
We were well organized under Dyche. Say what you want about Dyche, but he can organize a defense, same with Moyes. Neither stuck with him. Perhaps he gets a fresh start this summer but doesn’t look good.

The father and son bond between Moyes and Patterson - "these English boys" - in that Scottish food tasting video the club has released has me slightly worried that he's going to be given a chance again.

He's never gonna be a starter at Everton and was mostly 4th or even 5th choice last season with centre halves played before him. Take whatever we can and cut our losses ffs, absolutely nothing against the lad but when about 5 managers clearly don't rate you, it isn't going to work out.

He needs to go. Wasting his playing years not getting playing time.
Has probably weighed it up and decided it's worth forfeiting half of his playing career to set himself up financially for the future. As long as he's at Everton he'll always get a move back to Scotland, albeit on severely reduced wages. Can't blame the lad if he's on £15 million-pound-player wages and doesn't want to give it up as any other club is offering £1 million-pound-player wages.

But at some stage you need to score goals and win a few games which was Dyche`s downfall here and in his last year at Burnley. Moyes can organize a defense too but can at least get a few wins out of teams too.

I’ve always thought he’s looked decent starting. Not amazing but certainly not a liability. Decent distribution, and going forward. I assumed that something behind the scenes isn’t right.
Opinions isn’t it , I think he really isn’t good enough . When he isn’t in playing I think many of us , me included, convinced ourselves he’s better than he is until he comes back and we fall into the same trap.

Successive Everton managers don’t see him as good enough . by all accounts he’s popular with the players , I think he’s very matey with branthwaite but overall it seems he’s just not good enough .

Sure, but if Patterson can't defend in Dyche's structure, that doesn't bode well for playing in Moyes'. We'll see I guess.
