"This is the stuff -this is what they want"When I was a student (late 1970s, early 1980s) ITV had a strike, the TISWAS team (Tarrant/Gorman/(I think Carolgees) not Sally James (boo)) organised a roadshow visiting a number of venues. I went to the one in Bristol. Absolutely mad, Des O'Connor LPs being flung about like razor edged discus and everybody, and everything, got soaked in water. Unfortunately that included the sound and lighting equipment and thats when the show ended. Had to go back to the bar instead.
