Bought the Mrs some fancy wine glasses for her birthday, they arrived on the 10th from Germany, opened them this evening and of course ones broken at the stem .
Looked for the returns procedure and noticed their T&Cs state they should be opened upon receipt and any damage reported immediately, so no doubt going to be spending all day tomorrow rowing with some jobsworth in Germany.

Had new master cylinder, starter motor, top mount on front drivers side, new brake calipers, 2 new tyres. After that the engine management light came on showing an injector fault, MOT then showed up 2 ball joints, a wheel fixing bolt (apparently 1 is missing), new central break pipe and just a couple of bulbs or something. I’m getting shot of it.



I’m gonna buy a simple ford fiesta instead.

Sounds like you are in to deep. To chase the cost you've spent vs a new van. ?

I’ve spent a fortune on this van already, including a new clutch about 10,000 miles ago. I’m gonna swallow my losses and just recoup what I can.

Sounds like an expensive option, for the sake of a grand (not pennies I know) you get something you know is sound, whereas you could end up with another project that's cost pretty to begin with and then needs a grand or more fixing.

On my oldest lads stag do in Prague. Played indoor five a side yesterday. Heard a pop and thought someone had smashed into my calf, fell on floor but nobody was near me. Not sure what I’ve done here but I’ve wrapped it bandage and been taking strong ibuprofen. Flight home in a few hours. Way too old for this.

PCP...is the only way mate.
