2024/25 Nathan Patterson

Yeh I'm on the downward trend of optimism myself. Probably see him starting in the pre-season games with Tarks and Branthwaite's returns from injury so can see more then.

Did he play after he was tapped on the head, stayed down and we conceded a goal? I don't think he did. Not a great look under a new manager.

Christ, can't even remember the game. These were his apps towards the end - basically only in because of our CB injuries with O'Brien moving across. He's 24 in October, 2 years left on his deal, I think if someone came in for him this Summer he's gone.

Shame really as he came with some promise. Still the sort of low-cost deal I'd like us to keep trying though.

I know it’s easy to write him off, but the lad has had a rough ride with injuries, and coming into a club that is there worst run in any top flight. I think we can only judge him with a proper pre season, in a well organised side, in a well run club. None of that has happened before for him.If he doesn’t kick on now, it’s time to judge.

Think if he’d started (and finished) more games, he might have matured and been decent. Plays like he’s just been injected with 4 litres of Red Bull as he’s perpetually either coming back from injury or trying to prove a point.

I’d say the window Moyes has to look at him and decide what to do should be no longer than this current transfer window. Guaranteed if he does well over summer and we stick with him as backup, he will pick up a 9 month injury in October. Would need to have a fantastic pre-season to risk it for me just based on his fragility. And I really want him to turn it around but it’s not looking great.

I agree whole-heartedly.

I also think we should try him in the 10 role as that could be hos best position.

I looked back, it was the Ipswich match, so no, he didn't play.
