Pre Season Matches.

I thought it was free to season ticket holders because they made a huge thing about us having EvertonTV+ as part of our ST.

Surely this is an error in their email?

From the O.S. today -
Everton’s new subscription TV service – evertontv+ – is launching on Friday 11 July with the release of an exclusive three-part documentary series Goodison Park: End of an Era, celebrating the Grand Old Lady and her iconic 133-year history.
Forever Blue+ Members, Premium Members and Season Ticket Members will gain automatic access to evertontv+ under the benefits of their Memberships.
Please note – live streams of pre-season fixtures will not be included as part of the subscription.

'If Ifab approval is given, Ref Cams could be trialled by the Premier League in its Summer Series tournament this month in the US, featuring Manchester United, Everton, West Ham and Bournemouth, with a view to potentially using them next season.'

The club has a turnover of well over 100 million and they're gonna make like £50,000 off this. What are we doing here..
There is a market for tv rights for these matches. If they give it away for free, they can't sell these rights.

In addition our opponents will want a chance of making money on streams. If Everton give it away for free, they won't sell subscriptions or memberships.

Not being in England, I see that I can sign up for a local streaming service and get access to 42 pre-season friendlies with Premier League teams incl. four of Everton's matches. For less than one matchpass from Everton will cost me.

Theyre not and wouldnt be giving them away for free, they should be included in an Everton tv+ package which costs a minimum of 60 pounds annually. Or included in the season ticket package which is about £600 annually. The same as every other year where they've done the same where its been sold abroad as usual.

In addition, being in England, I can see no other provider is broadcasting these two matches including the hosts. It's a nonsense argument that doesn't hold up to any scrutiny but by all means keep defending billionaires greed and the degradation of the game.
