He'd still be much better on a minefield though, he's going to bowl either way.
I'm not disputing that, I'm just unsure if he's going to be good enough even with a minefield and unsure if he's going to be the answer long term. Hopefully proves me wrong and bowls a match winning spell. He's got a great leadership team around him to help him.
 
England need to bat and bat as long as they can today, even if it's not a fast scoring rate. I know it's old fashioned but every run and every over you bat helps on a slow turning wicket in these hot conditions. It's inevitable that the wicket will start to get worse on Sunday and Monday with all the heat. If they can get to around 380 / 400, they should be well in the game
