I think it's at the point now where it'd be too obvious even for him. We survived his witch hunt.

Also, if he came after us for this he'd be forced to act on Chelsea equally, and he won't. Aston Villa will be his next target.

Another plus is that we're no longer bankrolled by a Russian puppet, as that was a main gripe of his I reckon.
Well said

If it didn’t work out, then they didn’t take advantage of those things. They just tried to, amateurishly.

They tried and failed to get one up on the system. And we were absolutely battered for their failure.
They originally gamed the system with hugely inflated sponsorship deals. The failure of that gaming wasn’t due to them not doing it well enough, it was due to political changes which were outside of their control. Again, this isn’t a defence of them, it’s just a statement of fact. If sanctions were brought in against Americans the same issues would face this deal, and we don’t have the same hindsight yet to know whether this will work out so we’re not really able to say it’s different for any reason other than we hope it is.

Well they aren’t doing the same things, so we’re not going to have the same outcomes.

I’m not saying they are guaranteed to be successful, but there’s no reason why people shouldn’t be hopeful just because the previous slapstick administration didn’t know how to run a football club.

Like I said last last time, that isn’t my point! It’s nothing to do with saying it won’t work or we shouldn’t be hopeful, i can’t really make that any clearer. I am very simply saying that this isn’t the massive change in MO and evidence of a cleverer/more ruthless approach that some people are suggesting because it’s very much the same sort of thing as we did last time.

Its a miracle we've survived at the top level of English football for so long reall

I think as Blues we've bemoan our lack of luck down the years but its pure luck we've managed to survive.

Bluer skies ahead.
Strong agree. It's weird to say we've had any kind of luck at all. Hpwever, Wimbledon '94 was like a miracle to me at the time amd the other escapes prior to Lampard era too somewhat. Half time against Palace though, my only thought was our time is up. I wasn't even angry at that point about how far we had fallen, just the realisation of what I thought was going to happen that night.

We'll still moan even it it is not about sporting achievement or lack of. It will be the pies or chicken wings at the ground price or the brand of lager or bitter we've got on tap. It's what we are after all, keeping it real. I blame Asa Harford selling his story to the papers and up and leaving us all those years ago. We were never the same after that, despite our 80s success. 🤣

If we go one point within the top six by December 31st , I think Masters will spend 24/7 trying to nail our testes to a mast .
At the moment , he can’t touch us and I bet it causes him some distress .
Why did we allow that cockwomble to attend the final game at Goodison when so many Evertonians were desperate to be there. Asking because I don't know but does he have the right to attend because he heads up the Premier League?

It's got to be something like that you would think . The brass neck of him though. At that level they just don't care about their credibility with the peasants as they see us.
