It's not as if we had a really stable core that was producing results and this is rocking the boat though is it? A lot of them are people who've worked together before too, so it's not like they all need to start from scratch.

Benchmark is Villa doing 55m for their women’s team, that didn’t include a (formerly) PL stadium in the package though.

Possibly lining up for a sale.

I think Goodison had more charges against it than Citehs FFP charges no at one point, or ar least it seemed that way.

I was just saying people keep saying stuff like 'finally we have people who take advantage of things', but actually we did have people who took advantage of these things, it just didn't work out. It's not a defence of the old owner or a criticism of the new ones, just pointing out that we were previously not in any way 'too nice' to take advantage of loopholes.

If it didn’t work out, then they didn’t take advantage of those things. They just tried to, amateurishly.

They tried and failed to get one up on the system. And we were absolutely battered for their failure.

They weren't trying to take advantage, they were just cash-starved after the Ukraine invasion and largely incompetent.

Agreed though, being nice had nothing to do with it.
