Transfer Rumour John McGinn

Our interest is real. Emery has told the Villa Board he does not want him sold. We might throw in an offer to see if their Board put FFP management first but it is very unlikely they will risk annoying their combustible manager given his importance to them.

Yeah also have alot of other players can sell aswell, id take him here think would do well. But is the sort of deal have been done before paying far to much transfer fee and wages. Dont mind us trying but have be smart

He's a good player, our fans are weird to turn their nose up at him.

He's a fine player, but he'll be 31 and has two years left on his deal. He won't cost nothing (he's their captain), but he'll be worth that at the end of his Everton contract. These are the types of deals we should be avoiding.

I like McGinn, horrible player to play against and wouldn't be averse to buying him. Drawbacks 30 years old and to be honest with Villa in Europe again and on the up, would McGinn uproot his family and leave ?

31 isn't old do you really worry about resale value when he improves our midfield a lot?

If someone younger can do a similar job, yes. I like McGinn. As I said earlier sometimes he's more busy than effective, but he's sort of a jack of all trades/master of none midfielder.

I wouldn't be upset if he signed (depending on the fee), but I don't think he fits the mold of what we should be doing.
