I'm sure journalists will be on it but wouldn't expect much in the way of announcement from the club. Particularly if it has a big impact on our transfer budget, that's info we'd want to keep to ourselves.

I saw in the I article today the club were briefing a budget of 100m. If that were the case AFTER this sale it would be very disappointing, but at the same time I don't think they'd brief otherwise.

Nor am I - but if the aim is to improve our PSR position for the longest period possible, then it’d make sense for it to be this side of the 1st of July.

That essentially gives us an extra year’s wiggle room over doing it at the end of June.

If they did it before July 1 it would only be because they had to I guess - I was quite surprised no sale was needed as we had very little wiggle room due to the "good" year having fallen off. Otherwise you'd take the other year - be surprised if PSR continues in it's current form across all three years mind you.

they dont look at it unless we are in one of their competitions. So all good on that front.
