We Tend to fixate only on the successful No9s while forgetting the many many failures.

A Peak Yak or Lukaku could wear 69 for all I care.

iirc, Lukaku picked his own number and, in the 'modern' manner which thinks that the No10 is the top dog, not unsurprisingly, didn't give 9 a glance and went straight for No10.

If somebody scores 20 goals this coming season who cares what number he has on his back
It's the badge on the front that matters

Tbf my opening comment was in jest, however, I do sometimes feel there isn’t enough recognition in the wider football fraternity that WR Dean was the original No9 and the shirt should be more revered by us than any other team.
