Do we need to move the world cup?

People went to Russia and Qatar in droves, stop acting like this is a bridge too far.

I do agree many Americans will be reluctant at best to root for the national team. MAGAs still think footy is some socialist conspiracy and just ignore the whole thing. The USMNT fanbase is pretty much the opposite of the lads on tour patio fighting gammon England fans. This issue didn’t come up in 2018 as fortunately we failed to qualify.
I think the concerns are that there's widespread riots across the country. There's masked men rounding up people and detaining them. Holiday makers have been caught up in this and wrongly detained. Add on to that, it's a World Cup and you're banning fans of teams competing, it's not really the ideal place to host it.

To not allow certain fans to travel and the potential for issues with players from those countries and unrest, I wouldn't say it's ideal.

Most of games in world cup in 94 were packed so don't see empty stadiums being a problem, loads of different ethical groups in usa to go to games as well as Americans. Heat in 94 was a big problem went to players heads , even saw real Aldridge showed his true colours swearing at linesmen

Definitely should be moved but if Qatar wasn’t unlikely Trumpland will

It’s a money grab since majority of people in country see football just above cricket in terms of passion

I still remember a Stanford doc calling it a communist sport during WC in South Africa

Anyone that objects to WC being hosted in the USA actually stopped buying/using the businesses that sponsor/fund FIFA?

No, thought not. Just utter complaining.

I don't think it should be held across 3 countries. Qatar was an amazing host because it was so localised. Canada/USA/Mexico? Utter madness. Only airlines will benefit.
