Wimbledon

Define gash? she's 40th ranked in world and the best British women's player in ages...bit silly
hasnt made any kind of final in 4 years, in fact i think only one semi final, has limited power that is required at the top of the game, but on the other hand appears to lack the variety in her play to compensate for it. Doesnt come accross as having the greatest level of physical fitness either.

In any decent tennis playing country (Spain, USA, Russia, Czech etc) she would be completely ignored.

last nights efforts need to be taken with a grain of salt as well, as British players tend to perform at their best level at Wimbledon for obvious reasons. (Draper aside)

She will be back to being bounced out in early rounds of tournaments next week.

She isn't gash tho is she, just don't think we need to go over the top, being currently the 40th best player in the world is a good achievement

5 russians still in the women’s draw

Of course, none of that gets mentioned due to the anti - Russian hysteria

We would rather bang on and celebrate British failures like Raducanu and Kartal (today)
