Grass roots football in NZ. I took this pic last week when I went to watch a local game my lads were playing. Very low cloud made a moody sight that I tried to capture. Two pitches at this ground, both very heavy due to winter rain. First game on the far pitch, second game on the near pitch. The second game was the senior level hence the "bench" aka plastic seats. Club rooms in the back ground. 1st game finished 6-5.

Sometimes with Kingfishers, you can really close to them if they’re used to people.
There’s a pair in a local park by us, who are pretty happy to be near you if you’re sat reasonably still on bench near to their part of the lake.
Glorious colours and wonderful to watch when they’re catching fish, especially when they smack it around a branch to kill it
Treecreeper, funny little birds to watch, they run up trees picking insects out of the bark. Then fly down to the bottom of the next tree and start again, apparently it saves energy this way, Mother Nature knows her stuff.
Wonderful little birds.
They make tiny little nests out of spiders webs and moss, tucked away behind a loose bit of bark on an old tree trunk or branch.
You normally only ever find the nest when the chicks are old enough to start making a noise, as the nests really are that well hidden.
Dipper in pouring rain, this was in the Peak District, what a beautiful place.
