No, but Australia haven't replaced Shane Warner either. But they have found Lyon who can consistently take wickets and churn out overs to allow their quick to rotate and rest.Yes, but it's not like we can go and buy Shane warne is it![]()

OK....errrrrr...what i means is maybe there just isnt currently an English spinner to find? No, but Australia haven't replaced Shane Warner either. But they have found Lyon who can consistently take wickets and churn out overs to allow their quick to rotate and rest.
The point would be that you introduce measures to find one. Invest in coaching, spinning wickets, etc.OK....errrrrr...what i means is maybe there just isnt currently an English spinner to find?
Play cricket at the height of summer rather than the stupid Hundred. The point would be that you introduce measures to find one. Invest in coaching, spinning wickets, etc.
It's been a perennial problem for years, England having a dearth of spinners. There's been Swann, Panesar, Rashid, and his average was 39, Jack Leach, average 39. Going further back there was Tufnel, even his average was 37, Giles, average 40, Croft, average 37.The point would be that you introduce measures to find one. It's like nothing like 2020 it has a hundred balls and we are sponsored by snacks lolPlay cricket at the height of summer rather than the stupid Hundred.
No it's not, but there's a whole host of reasons why England don't produce good spinners. It's been a perennial problem for years, England having a dearth of spinners. It's been very rare that England had an attacking spinner, who takes wickets and doesn't go for plenty. It is not a recent phenomenon.
