What media stuff? He’s a player we already own, that is extending his existing contract by 1 year. It is strange that we have to make such a monumental deal out of it.

We've got to sell some new kits, player of last season in one is the sort of marketing we should be doing and making a monumental statement out of.

The club have a weird thing about spacing announcements out, for engagement. Think the last time we did multiple announcements in the same day was that deadline day we signed Gomes, Mina and a third player I can’t remember

All announcements of new contracts are an opportunity for a fan to buy a new shirt with the players name on the back of it.

We shouldn't be putting up pictures of Michael Keane on the official site in last season's kit when the new one is available for purchase now.

I’m sure thousands would have rushed out to buy the shirt if they had seen Keane in it!!
We get probably less than 10% of the sale price from a shirt. A picture of Gana on the club site isn’t going to shift the dial on our finances!

The only person who will buy a new kit with Keane on the back is possibly his mother.
