I can't help it...
That's one of Keano's best qualities tbf.I’d have preferred going in another direction
Overreactions are our speciality. We don’t have time to waste this summer on searching for a 4th choice CB. It will take more than one transfer window to jettison all those we want to see rhe back of. In a year or two it will hopefully be Tarky occupying the 4th choice position as his career nears its end and we’ll have found another Jarred or Jake.If Keane being our 4th choice centre half is the biggest issue we have in the squad at the end of this window i'll be very happy. If it isn't, then him signing a one year extension won't have been anywhere near the biggest failing of the summer. So either way, it just feels like an overreaction.
Some people are far too accepting of mediocrity.
5 starts to many.Dependent on who we bring in at RB, I genuinely believe he'll get under 5 starts all season. I mean, even one of Tarkowski/JOB will be rotated. Moyes is a classical and doesn't historically rotate his CBs.
Who would you realistically want as 4th choice? A youngster from Brazil with no experience? 4th choice by nature generally is mediocre.

Answer - anyone but Keane, he’s been finished her for about 4 years.
What’s Keane experienced at?
Being awful, gifting goals to the opposition and cowardice in the tackle - I don’t want that at 50th choice cb, never mind 4th.
Give me a kid from anywhere, Bootle or Brazil, with no experience over that.
People were saying Jake O’Brien wasn’t experienced enough, in making excuses for Dyche not playing him, look how that turned out….
Like I said previously, if we can’t find better than Keane in the whole world of football, priority position or not, we are failing as a football club.
