A far fetched theory... if these types of transactions aren't allowed by UEFA for FFP, signing Wesley now for €30m loaning to Roma then getting a profit with an obligation in two years time as rumoured, could be a nice bit of money laundering UEFA FFP wise for if we were in Europe at that point in time.Agree.
At the recent premier league meeting the clubs didn’t even bother voting on closing the “related party sale” loophole.
Apparently it was obvious that the other clubs didn’t want Chelsea to benefit and nobody else.
Looks like Villa and ourselves were next in line. I’m sure there’ll be others.
The timing is ideal for us as it helps manage the transition from GP to BMD.
Only point to note is that these type of transactions are banned by UEFA for FFP purposes.
Therefore Chelsea and Villa may have issues and receive fines from UEFA.
Obviously they need to still spend plenty on us now.
