You don’t have to agree anymore than I do with you. I’m a trained physician who strives to preserve life

We worship loss of celebrities over innocent men, women and children where it is far more abnormal if not abjectly evil

Tomorrow it’ll be some actor who passes which will be tragic but we can’t even protect innocent people from ongoing genocide.

We’ve become immune to horrific warring but lament a millionaire footballer - imbalance is putting it mildly
As opposed to an untrained physician?

It was an accident, no one was to blame. Sometimes these things just happen. My mum has lost both my dad and my half-brother’s dad to motor vehicle accidents. It’s brutal, it’s heartbreaking, and it hurts like hell.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s this: cherish your loved ones. Tell them you love them, often and without hesitation. Don’t wait for the right moment, make every moment right.

Live each day as if it could be your last, because one day, it will be. And when that day comes, let it find you with nothing left unsaid, and everything that matters held close.

Very sad for such a young guy to die. 28 is so so young. Horrible for his family too.

(I have to say though, seeing Ai videos of him with angel wings walking through the pearly gates into heaven through a guard of honour by Man Utd players past and present before being embraced by Bill Shankly is hugely cringey.)

Yes, other people die and that's a tragedy too if their lives are cut short. But we shouldn't have a go at people expressing sorrow at Diogo and Andre Jota's deaths.

However, I dont get the "he's practically one of us and we all stick together as Scousers and protect our own" bit.

I respect the loss of the family of those two brothers. That's it.

There's no common ground with Liverpool supporters that needs to be found for 'solidarity'. In fact, there's no civic angle here at all.

People just want to feel supported in a time of mourning Dave, it's not the time to try and score a point mate or limit your ability to be sympathetic.

I'm not point scoring.

It's just not a civic affair.

Simple as that really.
