How do you get through your work day?

After selling my small IT security distribution company in 2017 I went to work for the company who bought it.

Was there until 2021 then left to take up a regional small business advisor role for the UK’s top small business support organisation.

All this time though I had an inkling to do something outdoors.

Ended up taking a punt setting up an exterior cleaning company which I’ve been doing now for 3 years.

I enjoy the business to consumer side of it and best of all some of the freedom it gives me. However it is very physical and I’m starting to feel it a bit now.

Always kept myself fit, but I’m going to have to start being a bit more considerate about the jobs I take on. Pushed out into cleaning k rend and render Iast year and that has gone really well and isn’t anywhere near as tiring.

Still think I’ll end up going back into white collar work at some point in the next year or two though, unless nobody will have me because of my age.

I fell asleep for almost an hour just sat upright in my chair mid email yesterday, I just tell everyone to work from home so I get the office to myself to do such things.

They think I'm thoughtful for letting them stay home, I just stick the phone on do not disturb and play games in-between the occasional 10 minute blast of work to appear busy. On the days anyone is in I get a mcdonalds and go sit in the car for 2 hours watching crap on YouTube whilst getting fatter.
