…bit of a Groundhog Day point, Joey. What you need to understand is Catterick had very talented young players at his disposal (we won the Youth Cup in ‘65). Players like Harvey, Wright, Royle, Husband and Hurst would come through in any era, just like Rooney would.

There was a conveyor belt of talent in those days, sadly that’s not the case now.

We will never know Eggs they dont smell the first team Brathwaite missed loads of game time & Dyche never played a top signing ? who starred under DM ?
